Responsibilities
- System Monitoring & Maintenance: Oversee server health, network performance, and database integrity during off-peak hours.
- Security Management: Implement and monitor security protocols to protect federal data against cyber threats.
- Incident Response: Diagnose and resolve technical issues reported by internal users or external agencies during the night shift.
- Backup & Recovery: Execute scheduled data backups and verify restoration procedures to ensure business continuity.
- Documentation: Maintain detailed technical logs and update configuration documentation for all systems.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent technical experience).
- Certifications: CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or Cisco CCNA certification is highly preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in systems administration or network engineering.
- Availability: Must be willing and able to work night shifts (e.g., 10:00 PM - 6:00 AM) on a rotating schedule.
- Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills for reporting technical status.
