Responsibilities
- System Monitoring: Oversee and manage server infrastructure, ensuring high availability and performance during night operations.
- Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues for state employees and internal systems.
- Security Compliance: Enforce security protocols and conduct vulnerability assessments during non-business hours.
- Data Management: Perform routine backups, patch management, and system updates to maintain integrity.
- Incident Response: Lead or support the technical response to any system outages or emergencies occurring after hours.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate logs and technical documentation of all maintenance and repair activities.
Qualifications
- Education: Associate degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
- Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience in systems administration or IT support.
- Certifications: CompTIA A+, Network+, or Security+ certification is highly preferred.
- Availability: Must be willing and able to work rotating night shifts (e.g., 10:00 PM - 6:00 AM).
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills for reporting status to management.
- Background: Ability to pass a state-level background check and security clearance process.
