As a key member of our 24/7 Operations Center, you will be responsible for the maintenance, monitoring, and optimization of our enterprise systems. We are looking for a proactive problem-solver who values precision, reliability, and public service.
Responsibilities
- System Monitoring & Maintenance: Oversee the performance of servers, databases, and network infrastructure during night hours to ensure uninterrupted service delivery.
- Troubleshooting & Support: Diagnose and resolve complex technical incidents and service requests escalated from day-shift teams.
- Data Integrity & Security: Execute scheduled backups, run integrity checks, and apply security patches to protect sensitive state data.
- Incident Management: Log and track all technical activities in the Service Management tool, ensuring detailed documentation and timely reporting.
- Collaboration: Communicate effectively with day-shift supervisors and stakeholders to provide status updates and facilitate seamless handovers.
- Compliance: Adhere strictly to state cybersecurity protocols and IT governance standards during all operations.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field preferred; High School Diploma with relevant technical certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Network+) will be considered.
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in IT support, systems administration, or help desk roles, with at least 1 year in a night shift or 24/7 environment.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Windows Server, Active Directory, SQL, and scripting languages (PowerShell/Bash).
- Soft Skills: Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Requirements: Must be willing to work rotating night shifts, weekends, and holidays. Must pass a comprehensive background check and drug screen.
