Responsibilities
- Assist in the maintenance, repair, and construction of public roads, sidewalks, and bridges.
- Operate and maintain light to heavy-duty construction equipment, including rollers, loaders, and dump trucks.
- Perform snow removal and ice control operations during winter months to ensure public safety.
- Mark roadways and construction zones using pavement marking equipment and signage.
- Clear debris, brush, and vegetation from public rights-of-way and easements.
- Follow all OSHA safety regulations and departmental protocols at all times.
- Assist senior technicians and engineers with various project tasks as needed.
Qualifications
- No prior experience required: We are looking for candidates with a strong work ethic and a willingness to learn.
- Ability to lift and carry objects weighing up to 50 pounds repeatedly and stand for extended periods.
- Valid Colorado Driver’s License (or ability to obtain one) and a clean driving record.
- Physical stamina to work in various weather conditions, including extreme heat and cold.
- Basic mechanical aptitude is a plus but is not mandatory for this entry-level position.
- Strong commitment to workplace safety and ability to work effectively as part of a team.
