Responsibilities
- Perform construction and maintenance tasks on city roads, sidewalks, and public facilities
- Operate heavy equipment including excavators, loaders, and dump trucks under supervision
- Follow OSHA safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment
- Assist in emergency weather response (snow removal, storm recovery)
- Participate in infrastructure rehabilitation projects
- Complete training modules for equipment operation and safety certifications
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Valid New York State driver's license (Class B preferred)
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in outdoor conditions
