Responsibilities
- Perform general landscape maintenance, including mowing, trimming, edging, and weeding athletic fields and park grounds.
- Collect litter and debris from park areas, trails, and recreational facilities to maintain cleanliness.
- Inspect and perform minor maintenance on park facilities, restrooms, and playground equipment.
- Assist with the setup and breakdown of recreational events, sports leagues, and community programs.
- Operate light machinery, including tractors, mowers, and utility vehicles, following all safety protocols.
- Respond to public inquiries and provide excellent customer service to visitors and residents.
- Monitor park safety and report hazards or maintenance needs to supervisors.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Valid Nebraska Driver's License and a clean driving record.
- Ability to perform physical labor for extended periods, including lifting up to 50 lbs and operating heavy equipment.
- Basic knowledge of landscaping practices, horticulture, or general maintenance.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety regulations.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to interact with the public and team members.
