Responsibilities
- Maintain park grounds, facilities, and equipment ensuring safety and cleanliness standards
- Assist in planning, organizing, and executing community events and recreational programs
- Provide exceptional customer service to park visitors and program participants
- Perform routine inspections and report maintenance issues or safety hazards
- Support seasonal operations including setup/teardown for events and field maintenance
- Collaborate with team members to implement department initiatives and projects
- Adhere to all city policies, safety protocols, and environmental guidelines
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; college coursework in recreation management preferred
- Minimum 1 year experience in parks maintenance, event coordination, or customer service
- Valid Arizona Driver's License with clean driving record
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and lift up to 50 lbs
- First Aid/CPR certification (or willingness to obtain within 30 days)
- Strong communication skills and ability to engage positively with diverse community members
- Basic knowledge of turf management, irrigation systems, and safety procedures
