Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain park facilities, playgrounds, athletic courts, and irrigation systems
- Perform routine landscape maintenance including mowing, pruning, and seasonal planting
- Assist with event setup, supervision, and breakdown for community festivals and sports leagues
- Conduct daily safety inspections and report maintenance issues
- Provide excellent customer service to park visitors and program participants
- Operate light machinery (mowers, trimmers, tractors) and hand tools safely
- Participate in winter maintenance including snow removal and ice control
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid driver's license with clean driving record
- Experience in grounds maintenance, landscaping, or recreation preferred
- Certification in CPR/First Aid (or willingness to obtain)
- Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
- Basic knowledge of turf management and horticulture practices
- Strong communication skills and teamwork ability
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physical labor for extended periods
