As a key member of our team, you'll facilitate engaging recreational activities, ensure safety compliance, and foster positive interactions with diverse community members. Responsibilities
- Organize and lead weekend recreational programs including youth sports, senior activities, and community events
- Enforce safety protocols and maintain equipment/facility cleanliness during weekend operations
- Provide excellent customer service to residents and visitors at assigned recreation sites
- Manage program registration, equipment distribution, and activity supplies
- Supervise volunteers and part-time staff during weekend programming
- Complete incident reports and documentation for weekend activities
- Coordinate with weekend security and maintenance teams
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; college coursework in recreation management preferred
- Minimum 1 year experience in recreational programming or youth supervision
- CPR/First Aid certification required (or ability to obtain within 30 days)
- Valid California Driver's License with clean driving record
- Ability to work independently and make decisions during unsupervised weekend shifts
- Strong conflict resolution and de-escalation skills
- Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and occasional evenings
- Proficiency in basic recreation software (e.g., RecTrac)
