As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for Stockton residents by ensuring our parks, trails, and recreational facilities remain safe, clean, and inviting.
Responsibilities
- Perform general landscaping and grounds maintenance, including mowing, edging, weeding, and trimming.
- Operate and maintain park equipment, including tractors, mowers, and hand tools, ensuring all safety protocols are followed.
- Inspect and repair park furniture, fixtures, and recreational equipment to ensure public safety.
- Conduct routine cleaning of restrooms, picnic areas, and public buildings within park facilities.
- Assist with the set-up and breakdown of community events, sports leagues, and recreational programs.
- Maintain inventory of landscaping supplies and report needs to the supervisor.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent is required.
- Previous experience in landscaping, horticulture, or park maintenance is preferred but not mandatory.
- Valid California Driver’s License and a clean driving record.
- Ability to perform physical labor, including lifting up to 50 lbs and standing for extended periods.
- Basic knowledge of tools and machinery is a plus.
