Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and landscaping duties, including mowing, weeding, and trimming in public parks and facilities.
- Assist in the setup, operation, and teardown of community events, sports leagues, and recreational programs.
- Inspect and maintain playground equipment, ensuring all safety standards are met and hazards are reported.
- Enforce park rules and regulations, monitor visitor behavior, and provide excellent customer service to the public.
- Collect and dispose of trash and recyclables, maintaining the cleanliness of outdoor spaces.
- Operate and perform minor maintenance on landscaping tools, recreational vehicles, and maintenance equipment.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent is required.
- Valid Driver's License is preferred; ability to operate a government vehicle is a plus.
- Physical ability to perform outdoor labor, including lifting up to 50 lbs, bending, kneeling, and standing for extended periods.
- Basic knowledge of landscaping techniques and safety procedures.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends, evenings, and holidays as needed.
