Responsibilities
- Perform daily maintenance of parks, athletic fields, and recreational facilities
- Organize and lead community events, youth programs, and recreational activities
- Inspect equipment and facilities to ensure safety and compliance with regulations
- Interact positively with visitors, providing information and resolving concerns
- Assist in seasonal setup/takedown of special events and holiday decorations
- Maintain accurate records of facility usage, incidents, and program attendance
- Collaborate with team members on facility improvement projects
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; college coursework in recreation management preferred
- Minimum 1 year experience in parks maintenance, event coordination, or customer service
- Valid California Driver's License with clean driving record
- CPR/First Aid certification within 90 days of hire
- Ability to work flexible schedules including weekends, evenings, and holidays
- Strong communication skills and ability to work in diverse environments
- Knowledge of basic landscaping tools and safety protocols
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks in varying weather conditions
