Responsibilities
- Maintain parks, trails, and recreational facilities through landscaping, irrigation, and equipment operation
- Lead community programs including youth sports, senior activities, and special events
- Ensure safety compliance and conduct daily facility inspections
- Operate maintenance equipment (mowers, trimmers, etc.) and perform minor repairs
- Collaborate with volunteers and community groups on beautification projects
- Enforce park regulations while providing exceptional customer service
- Assist in emergency response during weather events or facility incidents
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; college coursework in recreation management preferred
- 1+ years experience in park maintenance, landscaping, or recreation services
- Valid California driver's license with clean driving record
- CPR/First Aid certification (or ability to obtain within 30 days)
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physically demanding tasks in varying weather
- Strong communication skills with diverse community members
- Basic knowledge of turf management and horticulture practices
- Pass background check and drug screening
