Responsibilities
- Manage park facilities, playgrounds, and athletic courts ensuring safety and cleanliness standards
- Organize and lead recreational programs, sports leagues, and community events for all age groups
- Conduct routine maintenance of landscaping, irrigation systems, and park equipment
- Provide excellent customer service to park visitors, addressing inquiries and resolving concerns promptly
- Enforce park rules and regulations while fostering positive visitor interactions
- Collaborate with maintenance staff on facility improvements and seasonal projects
- Assist in emergency response procedures during inclement weather or park incidents
- Participate in community outreach initiatives to promote park usage and engagement
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; college coursework in recreation management preferred
- 1+ years experience in parks, facilities management, or customer service role
- Current CPR/First Aid certification or ability to obtain within 30 days
- Valid California driver's license with clean driving record
- Ability to lift 50 lbs, stand for extended periods, and work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Strong interpersonal skills with ability to engage diverse community members
- Basic knowledge of landscaping tools and equipment maintenance
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends, evenings, and holidays
