Responsibilities
- Maintain park facilities, athletic fields, and landscaping with precision and care
- Lead engaging recreational programs including youth sports, senior activities, and community events
- Operate and inspect playground equipment, pools, and sports courts for safety compliance
- Provide exceptional customer service to park visitors and program participants
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on facility upgrades and seasonal projects
- Enforce park rules and regulations while promoting positive community interactions
- Assist in emergency response protocols and weather-related facility closures
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; college degree in recreation management preferred
- Minimum 1 year experience in parks, maintenance, or customer service role
- CPR/First Aid certification (or ability to obtain within 30 days)
- Valid Nebraska driver's license with clean driving record
- Ability to work flexible schedules including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Proficient in basic equipment operation (mowers, trimmers, irrigation systems)
- Strong communication skills with ability to engage diverse community members
- Physical stamina to perform outdoor tasks in varying weather conditions
