Responsibilities
- Perform daily maintenance of park facilities including playgrounds, trails, sports courts, and green spaces
- Assist with setup and supervision of community events, sports leagues, and recreational programs
- Provide excellent customer service to park visitors, addressing inquiries and ensuring safety protocols
- Monitor park conditions, report maintenance issues, and assist with seasonal landscaping projects
- Support the implementation of educational programs focused on environmental stewardship and healthy lifestyles
- Collaborate with team members to maintain clean, safe, and welcoming environments for all community members
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; college coursework in recreation, environmental science, or related field preferred
- Previous experience in parks maintenance, event coordination, or customer service strongly preferred
- Valid driver's license and ability to operate maintenance equipment safely
- Strong communication skills with ability to interact positively with diverse populations
- Ability to work flexible schedules including weekends, evenings, and holidays as needed
- Basic knowledge of landscaping tools and safety procedures
- Current CPR/First Aid certification or willingness to obtain upon hire
