Responsibilities
- Maintain park grounds including turf management, landscaping, and facility upkeep
- Operate recreational equipment and amenities safely (pools, courts, playgrounds)
- Assist in planning and executing community events, festivals, and youth programs
- Enforce park rules and safety protocols while providing excellent visitor services
- Perform seasonal maintenance including snow removal, trail upkeep, and pest control
- Collaborate with maintenance crews on infrastructure projects and repairs
- Document maintenance activities and submit accurate reports
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid North Carolina driver's license with clean driving record
- Experience in groundskeeping, landscaping, or facility maintenance preferred
- CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain within 30 days)
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and lift 50+ lbs
- Strong communication skills and customer service orientation
- Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
- Basic knowledge of park safety regulations and equipment operation
