Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain park facilities including playgrounds, athletic courts, and equipment
- Plan and execute community events, sports leagues, and cultural programs
- Perform routine park inspections and report maintenance needs
- Provide excellent customer service to park visitors and community stakeholders
- Assist in seasonal park beautification projects and landscape maintenance
- Enforce park rules and regulations while promoting positive visitor interactions
- Collaborate with volunteer groups and partner organizations on initiatives
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; relevant certification preferred
- Minimum 1 year experience in parks/recreation or customer service role
- Valid driver's license with clean record (required for equipment operation)
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and lift 50+ lbs
- Strong communication skills and conflict resolution abilities
- Basic knowledge of park safety protocols and emergency procedures
- Flexibility to work weekends, evenings, and holidays for events
- First Aid/CPR certification or willingness to obtain within 30 days
