Responsibilities
- Maintain park grounds including mowing, pruning, litter removal, and equipment operation
- Assist with recreational programs, sports leagues, and community events
- Inspect and report facility maintenance needs (playgrounds, shelters, courts)
- Provide excellent customer service to park visitors and program participants
- Support seasonal operations like summer camps and festivals
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols and department standards
- Collaborate with team members on park improvement projects
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (additional education preferred)
- Valid Tennessee driver's license (required for equipment operation)
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Physical stamina to perform outdoor tasks in various weather conditions
- Basic knowledge of grounds maintenance practices or willingness to learn
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and operate hand/power tools safely
- First Aid/CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
