Responsibilities
- Maintain and repair park facilities, including playgrounds, restrooms, and athletic fields to ensure safety and functionality.
- Perform routine landscaping duties such as mowing, trimming, weeding, and planting flowers and trees.
- Assist in the maintenance and cleaning of trails, pavilions, and public spaces.
- Monitor park activities and enforce park rules to ensure a safe environment for all visitors.
- Operate and maintain landscaping equipment, including mowers, trimmers, and tractors.
- Respond to community inquiries and provide excellent customer service regarding park programs and facilities.
- Assist with special events, festivals, and recreational programs as needed.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Previous experience in landscaping, groundskeeping, or public works is preferred but not required.
- Valid Nebraska Class C Driver's License with a good driving record.
- Ability to perform physical labor including lifting up to 50 lbs, standing for extended periods, and working in various weather conditions.
- Basic knowledge of landscaping tools and equipment.
- Strong commitment to safety and quality workmanship.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
