Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain park facilities, playgrounds, athletic courts, and trails
- Lead youth/adult recreation programs including sports, arts, and seasonal events
- Perform daily groundskeeping: mowing, landscaping, irrigation management, and litter control
- Enforce safety protocols and provide first aid during park activities
- Assist with special events setup, crowd control, and participant registration
- Collaborate with volunteer groups and community organizations on park initiatives
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; college coursework in recreation management preferred
- 1+ years experience in park maintenance, event coordination, or customer service
- Valid Indiana driver's license with clean driving record
- CPR/First Aid certification (or ability to obtain within 30 days)
- Ability to work weekends, evenings, and holidays during peak seasons
- Basic knowledge of turf management and landscaping equipment operation
- Strong communication skills and passion for community engagement
