Responsibilities
- Oversee complex park maintenance operations including turf management, irrigation systems, and facility safety protocols
- Design and implement innovative recreational programs with attendance exceeding 500+ participants
- Manage multi-million dollar budgets for capital improvements and seasonal operations
- Lead cross-functional teams in emergency response and disaster recovery for public spaces
- Conduct data-driven analysis to optimize resource allocation and visitor satisfaction metrics
- Forge strategic partnerships with corporate sponsors and community organizations
- Ensure ADA compliance and inclusive access across all recreational facilities
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Parks & Recreation Management or related field required
- 5+ years progressive experience in municipal or commercial recreation management
- Certified Park and Recreation Professional (CPRP) designation preferred
- Advanced proficiency in GIS mapping and recreation management software
- Demonstrated success in grant writing securing $500k+ annually
- Valid Louisiana Class E driver's license with clean record
- Expertise in crisis management and public safety protocols
- Strong financial acumen with experience in P&L oversight
