Responsibilities
- Maintain park grounds, facilities, and equipment through daily cleaning, landscaping, and safety inspections
- Operate recreational machinery (mowers, trimmers, irrigation systems) safely and efficiently
- Assist with park events, programs, and community activities including setup, supervision, and breakdown
- Enforce park rules and regulations while providing exceptional customer service to visitors
- Report maintenance issues, hazards, and vandalism promptly to supervisors
- Collaborate with team members on park improvement projects and seasonal preparations
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; college coursework in recreation management preferred
- Valid California Driver's License with clean driving record
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks in various weather conditions
- Basic knowledge of park maintenance practices and safety protocols
- Strong communication skills and ability to interact positively with diverse communities
- CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain within 30 days)
- Previous experience in park maintenance, event coordination, or customer service
