Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain specialized park equipment including mowers, trimmers, irrigation systems, and heavy machinery
- Perform daily facility inspections and maintenance of parks, trails, athletic fields, and recreation centers
- Implement safety protocols for equipment operation and public interaction
- Collaborate with landscaping crews to maintain aesthetic standards of green spaces
- Respond to citizen inquiries and resolve facility-related concerns promptly
- Assist in seasonal setup/breakdown of events and recreational programs
- Document maintenance activities and equipment usage in digital systems
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; relevant certifications preferred
- Minimum 1 year experience in groundskeeping, landscaping, or facility maintenance
- Valid Arizona driver's license with clean record
- OSHA 10-Hour Construction or equivalent safety certification
- Ability to operate power tools and heavy machinery safely
- Strong physical stamina for outdoor work in Arizona climate
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Basic knowledge of irrigation systems and turf management
