Responsibilities
- Maintain park grounds, athletic fields, and recreation facilities using city-provided equipment
- Operate power tools (mowers, trimmers, edgers) safely and efficiently
- Install and maintain irrigation systems with provided tools
- Assist in event setup/teardown for community activities
- Perform routine inspections and report maintenance needs
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols and OSHA standards
- Collaborate with team members on seasonal projects
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid Arizona driver's license
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and work outdoors in AZ climate
- Basic knowledge of landscaping/maintenance practices
- Experience operating outdoor power equipment (training provided)
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- First Aid/CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Pass background check and drug screening
