Responsibilities
- Maintain park grounds by mowing lawns, trimming hedges, and removing litter to ensure a welcoming environment.
- Perform routine maintenance on park facilities, including restrooms, picnic shelters, and playground equipment.
- Assist in the setup, operation, and breakdown of recreational events, festivals, and sports games.
- Operate and maintain landscaping equipment, such as mowers, trimmers, and edgers, following safety protocols.
- Monitor park areas to ensure compliance with safety regulations and address any hazards or maintenance issues promptly.
- Interact with the public in a friendly and professional manner, answering inquiries and providing information about park services.
- Assist in snow removal and ice control during winter months to ensure public safety.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
- Previous experience in landscaping, groundskeeping, or public facility maintenance is a plus.
- Ability to perform physical labor, including lifting heavy objects (up to 50 lbs), standing for extended periods, and working in various weather conditions.
- Valid Driver’s License and a clean driving record.
- Basic knowledge of landscaping tools and equipment.
- Strong commitment to safety, cleanliness, and customer service.
- Must be able to pass a background check and drug screen.
