Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and landscaping tasks, including mowing, edging, and weeding city parks and greenways.
- Collect litter and debris from public areas, athletic fields, and recreational facilities to maintain cleanliness.
- Inspect and maintain park equipment, signage, and playground structures for safety compliance.
- Assist with the setup and breakdown of community events, festivals, and recreational programs.
- Assist in the maintenance of athletic fields, including lining and basic upkeep.
- Operate landscaping and maintenance machinery, such as mowers and trimmers, following all safety protocols.
- Interact with the public to answer inquiries and provide excellent customer service regarding park amenities.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent is required.
- Valid Louisiana Driver's License and a clean driving record.
- Ability to perform physical labor in various weather conditions, including heat and humidity.
- Basic knowledge of landscaping principles, tools, and equipment.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow safety guidelines.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
