Responsibilities
- Maintain Park Facilities: Clean and maintain picnic areas, restrooms, playgrounds, and sports courts to ensure a safe and welcoming environment.
- Landscaping & Groundskeeping: Perform general landscaping duties including mowing, edging, weeding, trimming hedges, and planting flowers.
- Safety Patrol: Monitor park activities to ensure compliance with safety rules and regulations; respond to incidents or emergencies.
- Event Support: Assist with the setup, operation, and teardown of community events, festivals, and recreational programs.
- Equipment Maintenance: Inspect, clean, and perform minor repairs on park equipment and tools.
- Customer Service: Interact with the public, answer inquiries, and provide information about park amenities and programs.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Experience: Previous experience in landscaping, maintenance, or customer service is preferred but not mandatory.
- Driver’s License: A valid, valid driver’s license and a clean driving record are required for site travel.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 50 lbs for extended periods; willingness to work in various weather conditions.
- Schedule Flexibility: Ability to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Communication: Strong verbal communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.
