Responsibilities
- Maintain athletic fields, playgrounds, and landscaping areas to ensure high standards of safety and aesthetic appeal.
- Operate and perform routine maintenance on landscaping equipment, including mowers, trimmers, tractors, and irrigation systems.
- Assist with the setup, operation, and teardown of recreational programs, festivals, sporting events, and community gatherings.
- Monitor park facilities for cleanliness, vandalism, safety hazards, and structural integrity.
- Interact positively with the public, providing excellent customer service to visitors, including children, families, and seniors.
- Perform routine cleaning and minor repairs on park amenities such as benches, fences, and picnic shelters.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and environmental guidelines during daily operations.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent is required.
- Previous experience in groundskeeping, landscaping, park maintenance, or general labor is preferred.
- Valid Driver’s License and a satisfactory driving record are required.
- Ability to perform physical labor, including lifting up to 50 lbs, standing for extended periods, and working in various weather conditions.
- Basic knowledge of lawn care equipment operation and safety protocols is a plus.
- Strong commitment to customer service, teamwork, and community engagement.
