Responsibilities
- Perform general landscaping duties including mowing, edging, weeding, and planting to maintain the aesthetic appeal of parks and public spaces.
- Clean and maintain recreational facilities, restrooms, picnic areas, and playground equipment to ensure a safe and sanitary environment.
- Operate and perform routine maintenance on power tools, mowers, trimmers, and landscaping equipment.
- Assist in the setup, operation, and breakdown of community events, festivals, and sports leagues.
- Monitor park facilities for safety hazards, vandalism, or maintenance needs and report them to supervisors immediately.
- Enforce park rules and regulations to ensure the safety and enjoyment of all visitors.
- Assist in the repair and upkeep of park structures, benches, and signs.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent is required.
- Valid Texas Driver’s License with a clean driving record is preferred.
- Ability to perform physical labor including lifting, bending, pushing, and standing for extended periods.
- Basic knowledge of landscaping tools and machinery is a plus but not required.
- Strong commitment to customer service and working with the public.
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions, including extreme heat and rain.
- Must be willing to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.
