Responsibilities
- Maintain Parks and Facilities: Perform regular landscaping, mowing, trash removal, and facility upkeep to ensure parks are clean, safe, and welcoming.
- Event Support: Assist in the setup, operation, and teardown of recreational events, festivals, and community programs.
- Equipment Maintenance: Operate and maintain landscaping equipment, including mowers, trimmers, and leaf blowers, ensuring safety standards are met.
- Customer Service: Interact with park visitors, answer inquiries, and resolve minor issues to provide excellent service.
- Security Patrols: Monitor park areas to prevent vandalism, report safety hazards, and ensure compliance with city regulations.
- Seasonal Maintenance: Prepare parks for seasonal changes, including snow removal (if applicable) or winterizing green spaces.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Experience: Previous experience in landscaping, maintenance, or customer service is preferred but not required.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 50 pounds regularly; work in various weather conditions.
- Skills: Basic knowledge of landscaping tools and machinery; good communication skills.
- Availability: Must be available to work weekends and holidays as needed.
- Driver's License: Valid driver's license may be required for some positions.
