Responsibilities
- Maintain and repair park grounds, including mowing, trimming, edging, and general landscaping.
- Operate and maintain heavy equipment, including tractors, mowers, zero-turns, and utility vehicles.
- Perform routine maintenance on irrigation systems, playground equipment, and park structures.
- Ensure all work areas comply with OSHA safety standards and city maintenance protocols.
- Assist in the preparation and execution of special events and community clean-up initiatives.
- Respond to citizen inquiries and concerns regarding park maintenance and safety.
- Monitor inventory levels of supplies and request replenishments as needed.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Valid Oklahoma Class C Driver's License and a satisfactory driving record.
- Physical ability to perform strenuous labor, including lifting 50+ lbs, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- Experience with landscaping tools and basic mechanical maintenance is preferred but not required.
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions, including heat and inclement weather.
