Responsibilities
- Mow, edge, trim, and weed public park grounds and landscaping areas to ensure a pristine appearance.
- Operate and maintain a variety of landscaping equipment, including mowers, trimmers, and leaf blowers.
- Perform routine maintenance on park facilities, such as painting, cleaning, and minor repairs.
- Assist in the setup and breakdown of community events, sports leagues, and recreational programs.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and departmental policies regarding equipment usage and site maintenance.
- Remove litter and debris from trails, beaches, and park facilities to maintain a clean environment.
- Monitor park areas to report safety hazards or maintenance needs to supervisors.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Previous experience in landscaping, groundskeeping, or park maintenance is preferred but not required.
- Ability to operate power tools and heavy machinery (training provided).
- Must possess a valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
- Physically fit with the ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) and work in various weather conditions.
- Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and commitment to customer service.
