Responsibilities
- Maintain and repair athletic fields, playgrounds, and landscaping areas to ensure safety and aesthetic appeal.
- Operate and maintain landscaping equipment, including mowers, trimmers, and irrigation systems.
- Perform routine cleaning and maintenance of restrooms, pavilions, and recreational facilities.
- Monitor park facilities for safety hazards, vandalism, or maintenance needs and report them promptly.
- Assist in the setup and breakdown of recreational events, sports leagues, and community programs.
- Interact with the public in a professional manner, providing information and assistance as needed.
- Follow all safety protocols and environmental regulations regarding chemical usage and waste management.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Previous experience in landscaping, maintenance, or public service is preferred but not required.
- Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) and perform physical labor in various weather conditions.
- Valid Florida Driver's License and a clean driving record.
- Basic knowledge of landscaping tools and equipment.
- Strong commitment to customer service and community engagement.
