Responsibilities
- Maintain and repair athletic fields, playgrounds, and landscaping areas to ensure safety and aesthetic appeal.
- Perform routine cleaning and maintenance of park facilities, restrooms, and shelters.
- Assist in the setup and breakdown of recreational events, festivals, and sports tournaments.
- Operate and maintain landscaping equipment, including mowers, trimmers, and snow removal vehicles.
- Monitor park grounds for hazards, debris, or safety violations and report issues to supervisors.
- Interact with the public and visitors in a professional, customer-service-oriented manner.
- Assist with inventory management of park supplies and equipment.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Physical ability to perform manual labor, including lifting up to 50 lbs and standing for extended periods.
- Valid Kansas driver's license (Class C) with a good driving record.
- Basic knowledge of landscaping, horticulture, or facility maintenance preferred.
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team.
- Willingness to work in various weather conditions.
