Responsibilities
- Perform routine landscape maintenance, including mowing, weeding, and trimming.
- Assist in the maintenance and repair of park facilities, playgrounds, and athletic fields.
- Operate and maintain landscaping equipment, such as mowers, tractors, and trimmers.
- Assist with snow removal and ice control during winter months.
- Monitor park areas for safety hazards and report maintenance needs to supervisors.
- Interact with the public and provide excellent customer service regarding park amenities and programs.
- Perform general cleaning and waste removal in assigned areas.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Previous experience in landscaping, groundskeeping, or park maintenance is preferred but not required.
- Ability to perform physical labor in various weather conditions, including heat and cold.
- Valid Class C Alaska Driver's License with a clean driving record.
- Basic knowledge of landscaping equipment and safety procedures.
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
