Responsibilities
- Perform manual labor tasks such as street sweeping, trash collection, and pothole repair.
- Operate light to medium heavy equipment, including dump trucks, backhoes, and sweepers.
- Maintain parks, sidewalks, and landscaping areas to ensure a safe and aesthetically pleasing environment.
- Clear debris, snow, and vegetation from roadways, storm drains, and public right-of-ways.
- Assist with traffic control duties, including flagging and setting up cones.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and OSHA guidelines while on the job site.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Valid Class C Florida Driver’s License with a good driving record.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs repeatedly and stand for extended periods.
- Physical stamina to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Basic knowledge of construction or maintenance equipment is a plus.
- Willingness to work overtime and respond to emergency weather events.
