In this role, you will play a crucial part in maintaining the beauty and safety of Omaha's public spaces, ensuring residents can enjoy our parks, trails, and facilities year-round. You will work alongside a passionate team committed to environmental stewardship and community engagement.
Responsibilities
- Mow, edge, and maintain athletic fields, playgrounds, and landscaping areas to high standards.
- Perform routine maintenance on park facilities, restrooms, and shelters.
- Assist in snow removal and ice control operations during the winter season.
- Monitor park grounds for safety hazards, debris, and maintenance needs.
- Operate and maintain landscaping equipment, including mowers, trimmers, and tractors.
- Interact positively with the public, enforce park rules, and provide excellent customer service.
- Assist in special events and recreational programs as needed.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent is preferred.
- Valid Nebraska Driver’s License and a clean driving record.
- Physical ability to perform manual labor, including lifting up to 50 lbs and standing for extended periods.
- Basic knowledge of landscaping, horticulture, or general maintenance practices.
- Ability to work effectively in all weather conditions.
- Strong commitment to safety protocols and teamwork.
