Responsibilities
- Perform routine landscaping, mowing, and grounds maintenance tasks in city parks.
- Maintain and clean park facilities, restrooms, and picnic areas to ensure high standards of hygiene.
- Assist in the setup and teardown of community events, sports leagues, and recreational activities.
- Enforce park rules and regulations to ensure a safe environment for all visitors.
- Monitor and report maintenance needs, such as broken equipment or vandalism.
- Operate light machinery and power tools safely and efficiently.
- Interact with the public to provide information and assistance regarding park amenities.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent is required.
- Valid North Carolina driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Physical stamina to perform outdoor work in all weather conditions.
- Basic knowledge of landscaping, facility maintenance, or customer service is preferred.
- Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) and stand for extended periods.
- Strong commitment to safety and teamwork.
