Responsibilities
- Maintain and repair public parks, playgrounds, and recreational facilities to ensure safety and aesthetic appeal.
- Perform routine landscaping duties including mowing, weeding, planting, and trimming trees and shrubs.
- Ensure cleanliness of park grounds, restrooms, and shelters by sweeping, raking, and trash removal.
- Assist in the setup and breakdown of recreational equipment for community events and sports leagues.
- Monitor park usage and enforce park rules to ensure a safe environment for families and visitors.
- Report maintenance issues, such as broken equipment or drainage problems, to supervisors promptly.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED) is required.
- Physical ability to perform outdoor labor, including lifting up to 50 lbs, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- Willingness to work in various weather conditions, including heat and rain.
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and punctuality.
- Basic knowledge of landscaping tools and equipment is preferred but not required (training provided).
- Valid Driver's License is a plus.
