Responsibilities
- Maintain and repair park facilities, including restrooms, playgrounds, and athletic fields, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for visitors.
- Assist with the planning, setup, and execution of community events, festivals, and recreational programs.
- Perform general landscaping duties, including mowing, trimming, planting, and seasonal snow and ice removal.
- Monitor park grounds for safety hazards, report maintenance issues, and enforce park rules and regulations.
- Operate and maintain light motorized equipment and hand tools in a safe and efficient manner.
- Interact with the public, providing excellent customer service and answering inquiries regarding park amenities.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Previous experience in landscaping, maintenance, or customer service is preferred but not required.
- Ability to perform physical labor, including lifting up to 50 lbs, standing for extended periods, and working in various weather conditions.
- Basic knowledge of tools and equipment operation.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on public safety and courtesy.
- Valid Driver's License may be required depending on specific departmental needs.
