Responsibilities
- Maintain and clean park facilities, restrooms, and recreational areas to ensure high standards of hygiene and safety.
- Perform routine landscaping duties, including mowing, raking, weeding, planting, and general groundskeeping.
- Assist in the maintenance, repair, and inspection of playground equipment, athletic fields, and park structures.
- Monitor park activities and interact with the public to provide information, enforce park rules, and ensure a safe environment.
- Operate and maintain light machinery and power tools, such as mowers, trimmers, and leaf blowers, following all safety protocols.
- Respond to resident inquiries and requests for service in a professional and timely manner.
- Assist with event setup and breakdown for community gatherings and sports leagues.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Previous experience in landscaping, maintenance, or customer service is preferred.
- Ability to perform physical labor, including lifting heavy objects (up to 50 lbs), standing for extended periods, and working in various weather conditions.
- Valid driver's license (or ability to obtain one) is a plus.
- Strong commitment to public service and community engagement.
- Basic knowledge of safety procedures and the ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
