Responsibilities
- Perform routine landscape maintenance, including mowing, edging, trimming, and weeding of parks and public grounds.
- Assist in the maintenance, cleaning, and minor repair of park facilities, restrooms, and playground equipment.
- Operate landscaping machinery, such as tractors, mowers, and trimmers, safely and efficiently.
- Support the planning and execution of community events, festivals, and recreational programs.
- Monitor park areas to ensure cleanliness and safety; remove debris and trash.
- Communicate effectively with the public and other city departments regarding park conditions and issues.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Valid California Class C Driver’s License with a clean driving record.
- Ability to perform physical labor for extended periods in various weather conditions.
- Basic knowledge of landscaping principles, pest control, and irrigation systems.
- Strong commitment to customer service and community engagement.
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions accurately.
