Responsibilities
- Maintain park grounds by mowing, edging, weeding, and performing general landscaping tasks.
- Perform litter removal and waste management to ensure parks are clean and welcoming.
- Assist with the setup, maintenance, and breakdown of recreational events, sports leagues, and community programs.
- Operate and perform basic maintenance on park equipment, such as playground structures and picnic shelters.
- Interact with the public in a professional manner, answering questions and providing directions.
- Monitor park facilities for safety hazards and report maintenance needs to supervisors.
- Enforce park rules and regulations to ensure a safe environment for all visitors.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Ability to perform physical labor including lifting up to 50 lbs, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- Valid New Mexico Driver’s License (Class G) and a clean driving record are strongly preferred.
- Basic knowledge of landscaping tools and equipment.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Reliable attendance and punctuality are required.
- Ability to work weekends, holidays, and occasional evening shifts.
