Responsibilities
- Maintain and repair park facilities, athletic courts, and landscaping areas to ensure high standards of safety and aesthetics.
- Operate and maintain heavy and light equipment, including mowers, tractors, and landscaping tools.
- Sweep, rake, and remove debris from streets, sidewalks, and parks to keep the city clean.
- Assist in the preparation and cleanup for community events, sports leagues, and recreational programs.
- Perform snow removal and ice control duties during winter months to ensure public safety.
- Monitor park facilities for vandalism or safety hazards and report issues to supervisors immediately.
- Interact positively with the public, answering inquiries and providing information about park rules and facilities.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Valid Driver's License with a clean driving record.
- Physical ability to perform heavy manual labor, including lifting up to 50 lbs and working in various weather conditions.
- Basic knowledge of landscaping and/or maintenance equipment is preferred but not required.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
- Strong commitment to safety and teamwork.
