Responsibilities
- Lead heavy equipment operations (excavators, graders, dump trucks)
- Execute infrastructure maintenance and new construction projects
- Ensure compliance with OSHA and municipal safety protocols
- Train junior staff on equipment operation and safety procedures
- Conduct daily equipment inspections and maintenance checks
- Manage material inventory and supply chain coordination
- Document project progress and submit daily activity reports
Qualifications
- 5+ years of public works or heavy construction experience
- Valid Wisconsin Commercial Driver's License (Class A/B)
- OSHA 30-hour Construction certification required
- Ability to operate 5+ types of heavy machinery
- Pass pre-employment physical and drug screening
- Experience with municipal project documentation systems
- First Aid/CPR certification (or obtain within 30 days)
- Ability to work in all weather conditions and occasional overtime
