Responsibilities
- Perform manual labor including excavation, paving, and landscaping for municipal projects
- Operate light equipment (shovels, jackhammers, concrete saws) safely and efficiently
- Assist in stormwater management and drainage system maintenance
- Conduct routine inspections of public infrastructure and report hazards
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on emergency response operations
- Maintain clean and organized job sites following OSHA standards
- Support recycling and waste reduction initiatives across city properties
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid Ohio driver's license with clean driving record
- OSHA 10-hour construction certification preferred
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in extreme weather conditions
- Experience with basic hand/power tools and construction methods
- Strong work ethic with punctual attendance record
- Pass pre-employment background check and physical examination
- Must reside within Hamilton County or immediate surrounding areas
