In this role, you will be responsible for the upkeep of our parks, trails, and public facilities. You will ensure that Colorado Springs remains a clean, safe, and welcoming place for residents and visitors alike.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine landscaping duties including mowing, trimming, weeding, and planting.
- Operate and maintain landscaping equipment, including zero-turn mowers, tractors, and chainsaws.
- Perform snow removal and ice control operations on sidewalks and roadways.
- Repair and maintain park benches, fences, and recreational equipment.
- Assist with storm water management and drainage cleaning tasks.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and OSHA regulations while operating heavy machinery.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Valid Colorado Driver’s License with a satisfactory driving record.
- Ability to perform physical labor in various weather conditions (extreme heat, cold, rain).
- Ability to lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds repeatedly.
- Basic mechanical aptitude and experience with power tools is a plus.
- Commitment to punctuality and working as part of a team.
