Responsibilities
- Perform general landscaping duties including mowing, edging, trimming, raking, and weeding in parks and public right-of-ways.
- Maintain athletic fields, including lining, grooming, and repairing equipment to ensure game-day readiness.
- Operate and maintain various power equipment, including riding mowers, tractors, chainsaws, and leaf blowers.
- Assist in snow and ice removal operations during inclement weather to ensure public safety.
- Monitor and report on park conditions, vandalism, or maintenance needs to supervisors.
- Perform minor repairs to park furniture, fences, and playground equipment.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Experience: Minimum of one year of experience in groundskeeping, landscaping, or park maintenance.
- License: Valid Missouri Class C Driver’s License required; CDL preferred for some specialized roles.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs frequently and perform strenuous physical labor in various weather conditions.
- Skills: Basic knowledge of landscape maintenance practices and safety protocols.
