Responsibilities
- Maintain park facilities and grounds: Perform daily landscaping, mowing, trimming, and litter removal to ensure a pristine environment.
- Operate and maintain equipment: Safely drive and service mowers, tractors, and other power tools used in park maintenance.
- Facility upkeep: Clean and sanitize restrooms, picnic shelters, and recreational equipment to meet health and safety standards.
- Event support: Assist in setting up and tearing down for community events, festivals, and sports leagues.
- Public interaction: Provide exceptional customer service to park visitors, answer questions, and enforce park rules.
- Seasonal maintenance: Assist with snow removal, ice control, and seasonal decorations as required.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Experience: Previous experience in groundskeeping, landscaping, or custodial work is preferred.
- Physical Fitness: Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs for extended periods; ability to work in various weather conditions.
- License: Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
- Skills: Basic knowledge of operating lawn and garden equipment is a plus.
- Availability: Must be available for full-time hours, including weekends and holidays.
